A Tribute To Grandmaster Dave Rowe
Grandmaster Dave holds a number of Dan Grades in various martial arts systems. He first studied the martial arts in the early 60’s training in Wado Ryu Karate, with Sensei Wilson Fallows.
Then in the late 60’s he began to train in Okinawa Goju Ryu with then the late great ‘Gary Spiers ‘ (Then Become Applied Karate.) with whom he trained until his untimely death In 2001. He then went on to train and study Silent Hand Kung Fu(A Family System) Under Professor L. Wiszniewski And B.Hughes.
Grandmaster Dave has ran his own martial arts schools for many years, and has produced number of fine students, who now run their own schools (Myself being one). He has also trained a number of UK Police Officers in ‘Close Range Combat’ and has chaperoned many wealthy business people to ensure their safety.
Grandmaster Dave was given his 9th Dan by the World Alliance of Martial Arts in Dec 2011
*On January 2018 Grandmaster Dave Rowe passed away at the age of 66. He will be sorely be missed by the Martial Arts world, and some of my students who had the fortune to train with him. I will miss my friend, teacher, mentor and my sensei R.I.P.
